March 07, 2018 — The Arkansas Forestry Commission along with area schools held its Annual FFA Forestry contest. This year (15) fifteen area high schools participated in the event with a total of (60) sixty students. The event conducted both mandatory (Tree identification and Timber volume) course on the Foundations property.
Students are judged on (8) eight categories, such as: Tree Identification, Equipment ID, Tree Measurement, Timber Stand Improvement, Map Interpretation, Compass Reading, Tree Disorder and Forest Procedures.
