The Kays Foundation Awarded Three Grants to Arkansas State University Faculty
The first grant was awarded to Ms. Kendall Youngman, assistant professor, MRI Program director of the Department of Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences for “Corsmed MRI Simulator Software” in the amount of $4,425.00 to purchase Corsmed MRI Simulator Software and one faculty license for three years.
The second grant was awarded to Ms. Jody Nutt, tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences for “VERT Proton Therapy Simulation for Student Training” in the amount of $25,858.00 for two pieces of equipment. The IBA & Varian Proton Package and the Varian Probeam Pendant which will allow students to have firsthand training and knowledge of this technology.
The third and final grant was awarded to Ms. Orithea Regn, research associate in the Ecotoxicology Department for partial funds in the amount of $3,000 for the room and tank set up portion of the proposal “Establishing long-term fish experimentation and analytical capabilities at A-State”.
The Kays Foundation is a private, nonprofit foundation supporting ASU by providing grants to support faculty, staff, departments, colleges, or other entities in order to further the teaching, research, and service goals of Arkansas State University.
